Less hustle. More harmony.
A few days to set down what you've been carrying, get honest about what you actually want, and go home with a plan your nervous system will sign off on.
You've read the books. You've taken the courses. You have a calendar with more colors than a paint store, and a sneaking suspicion that working harder is not the missing piece.
Your suspicion is correct. Lasting change rarely comes from more effort. It comes when your body feels safe enough to choose something different, and then you hand it a plan worth choosing.
That's Rooted Results: regulate first, then build. Somatic practices for the part of you that has been white-knuckling it for years, and real strategy for the part of you that would like a spreadsheet, please. Both parts are invited. Both will be fed.
This is for you if…
- You're good at what you do and tired in a way a weekend off doesn't touch.
- You run on urgency, and lately you've wondered who exactly is driving.
- You're in the middle of a pivot (career, creative direction, season of life) and the old map has stopped matching the terrain.
- You've done plenty of personal work and want something structured enough to actually move things.
- You want strategy, held inside rest, nature, and very good company.
- You're a creative, an entrepreneur, an overachiever, a wallflower, or some rotating combination depending on the day.
What you'll receive
- Deep, facilitated workshops with Cheryl B. Engelhardt, certified trauma-informed master coach and IFS facilitator
- Time immersed in nature, in a setting chosen for rest, beauty, and room to breathe
- A toolkit of 20+ somatic and strategic practices you can use on an ordinary Tuesday, not just on a mountaintop
- The Creator's Success Cycle, Cheryl's five-phase framework for turning a big dream into dated, doable steps
- A personal action plan, with your next moves on paper and the first ones circled for the week you get home
- Guided rituals in nature, including a fire ceremony and a forest immersion
- Laughter yoga. Yes, really. Your vagus nerve will send a thank-you note.
- A retreat buddy and a four-week accountability rhythm, so the retreat glow survives first contact with your inbox
- A participant showcase, for the brave, the rehearsed, and the cheerfully unprepared
What changes
- You feel lighter. You'll have named, felt, and (quite literally) burned some of what's been weighing on you.
- You get your range back. A regulated nervous system isn't calm all the time. It rises to the moment and comes back down afterward, and you'll practice exactly that.
- You stop negotiating with old patterns. Tools like the Matter Mug and parts work help you spot the protective habits that once kept you safe, and catch them mid-sentence.
- You know what you want. Not what you should want, or what someone once told you to want.
- You move. Insight is lovely; momentum is better. You leave with a plan built for the real calendar you're going home to.
The arc: five parts, one tree
The retreat follows the way a tree grows. Trees have been modeling healthy change for a few hundred million years, and not one of them has posted about it.
1. Setting the Soil
Safety, trust, awareness
We start by landing. You'll get an honest read on how your nervous system is actually doing, notice the protective habits (yes, the phone counts) that keep you safe but small, and see the gap between where you are and where you'd like to be.
2. Cracking the Shell
Release
The day we go deep. Through guided reflection, parts work, and somatic practices, you'll trace old patterns to their roots and move stored emotion out of your body. Pool noodles are involved, and they are more cathartic than they have any right to be. We close with a fire ceremony and quiet time in the forest.
3. Strengthening the Trunk
Identity, boundaries, authenticity
With space cleared, we look at what wants to grow. You'll reconnect with your core values, meet the internal "parts" that tend to run the show, and practice saying yes and no like you mean both.
4. Reaching for Light
Vision, expansion, possibility
You'll compare what genuinely energizes you with how you actually spend your days (brace yourself), explore pivoting without abandoning yourself, and dream big enough that a roomful of people finally stops telling you to think bigger.
5. Becoming the Forest
Systems, community, action
Insight becomes a plan. Using the Creator's Success Cycle, you'll map your next chapter phase by phase, sharpen how you talk about your work, and build the support structure that keeps your momentum going long after checkout.
A typical day
Every retreat has its own rhythm, but a full day tends to look something like this.
- Morning Ā· Breakfast, plus optional yoga or movement
- Late morning Ā· Morning workshop
- Midday Ā· Lunch and free time: enjoy the campus amenities, journal, nap without apology
- Afternoon Ā· Afternoon workshop
- Early evening Ā· Dinner and unscheduled time
- Evening Ā· Something lighter: a wrap-up circle, a showcase, a fire, or game night
The bookends: We open together on arrival evening, do the deep work in the days between, and close with a morning of integration before you head home.
Meet your host
Hi, I'm Cheryl. Over the past fifteen years I've been to a lot of retreats: brain science and meditation, money, relationships, grief, communication, songwriting. When I finally built my own, everything clicked.
I'm a two-time GRAMMYĀ®-nominated artist and composer, a certified trauma-informed master coach and Internal Family Systems facilitator, and I've been coaching creative entrepreneurs for 18 years. I've hosted this retreat every year since 2022 (it began life as the AmpliMansion), spoken at SXSW, ASCAP, and ACDA, and written The Luminary Journal. I'm also told I should do stand-up, which matters when the agenda includes your inner child and a pool noodle.
My intention for you is simple: that you leave lighter, energized, and ready to go after your biggest goals with velocity and precision.
xo, Cheryl
